Opening the way of Hermes (Clem Salaman)
wide-ranging exploration of the ideas in Corpus Hermeticum , and parallels to ancient Egyptian and Vedantic thought and culture.
These transcripts record a series of dialogues that took place as part of a series of 10 lectures given between January and March 1997 at 90 Queen’s Gate, London to the students and friends of the Renaissance study groups of the School Of Economic Science. The lectures were given by Clem Salaman, the lead translator of a new translation of the Corpus Hermeticum, Asclepius, and the letters of Marcilio Ficino.
The dialogues and lectures covered a wide ranging exploration of the ideas in the Corpus Hermeticum as well as parallels to ancient Egyptian and Vedantic thought and culture. Clem Salaman was particularly interested in the teaching concerning the One as expounded in the texts of Hermes Trismegistus and were evident in ancient Egyptian culture.
