From 1962, Mr Sitaram Jaiswal translated at the great majority of the meetings that took place between Maharaja Shri Shantananda Sarasvati and various members of the Study Society as well as all of the meetings that took place with Leon MacLaren and William Whiting on behalf of the School of Economics Science and the School of Meditation respectively. After the passing of Shri Shantananda Sarasvati in 1997 he continued as the translator for the meetings and correspondence with his successor, Maharaj Shri Vasudevananda Sarasvati.

From 1997 until shortly before his death in 2013, he gave an annual Language Lecture, where he offered his remarkable and creative insights gained over many years.. The transcripts were originally published in an unedited form in two volumes under the title ‘Annual Language Lectures’.

In this new edition, the transcripts have been edited and an index added.
